1How to delete from the app
You delete the account yourself, from inside the tezfin app. No request form, no phone call, no office visit:
- Open the tezfin app and sign in to your account.
- In the profile section, choose account deletion.
- We send a one-time code to the email address or phone number the account was opened with. You do not re-enter them — we take them from the account.
- Enter the code. That confirmation is the final step: it cannot be undone, and there is no cooling-off window after it.
2If you cannot reach the app
If the phone is lost or the app is unavailable, write to us from the email address the account was opened with and ask for the tezfin account to be deleted. We have no way to identify you other than by the account details, so a request without them will not be carried out.
Personal-data requests, questions about these documents and account-deletion requests are handled by tezfin LLC at compliance@tezfin.uz. Include the email address or phone number the account was opened with — otherwise we cannot identify you.
3What happens after you confirm
Everything runs at once, as a single operation — either all of it or none:
- The sign-in account is deleted first: the account can no longer be entered from any device.
- Erased: push tokens, settings and income currencies, learning progress and in-app rewards, dismissed hints, partner-product applications, the credit-bureau summary, the loans you entered and their schedules, questionnaire answers, the Telegram link and its challenges, one-time codes, and membership of a shared household budget.
- Phone number, email address, name and date of birth are wiped from the person record, leaving a de-identified marker. The database refuses a deletion in which those fields are not empty.
- Ledger entries are deleted if they carry no edit history. If an edit history exists, the ledger stays as the anchor for that history under a de-identified identifier, and your free-text notes are scrubbed from it.
4What is retained by law
Some records cannot be erased, and we name them plainly instead of hiding behind a general phrase:
- The consent log — under anti-money-laundering and customer-identification requirements: 5 years.
- Links to microfinance organisations and details of closed contracts — as data supporting transactions: 5 years.
- The score history, the ledger edit history and the Telegram-bot sign-in log — records that by construction can be neither rewritten nor erased.
None of the retained records points at you once the account is gone: what remains is a de-identified identifier, while the phone number, address and name are already wiped. The service reports the end of the retention window in its answer to the deletion — the day of deletion plus 1825 days, that is 5 years.
5If you have a loan
Deleting the tezfin account does not end your obligations to a microfinance organisation: the loan contract is with them, not with tezfin. The app neither closes nor writes off a debt, and after deletion you simply stop seeing its schedule there.
6After deletion
Confirming a second time changes nothing: the account is already deleted, and the service answers with the same dates as the first time.
You can open a new account afterwards — it will be a new account from scratch. The previous account’s records cannot be restored: they are gone.
